Lionel Messi Injury Update: Manager Gerardo “Tata” Martino confirmed that Inter Miami star Lionel Messi is out of his walking boot but still has not stepped out on the training pitch. Messi is still working with the trainers inside as he rehabs back from the ankle injury picked up while on international duty at the Copa America final against Colombia.
Gerardo “Tata” Martino on the meaning of the matchup against Tigres although Miami has advanced to the knockout round of 32, “It’s a good match to measure or test where we are at right now against one of the top contenders for the title. They (Tigres) are one of the most important clubs in the Leagues Cup and it would surely be a great test to see where we stand in this competition.”
Sergei Kryvstov and Toto Aviles were back at training as full participants.
